We
can install and configure a network which will link
all of your existing computers and / or some new
workstations to allow them to share files and
printers, or use a central server to provide network
file storage to all users for security and resilience
– central storage means that all data can be backed
up nightly and hence, if you lose some vital data,
this can be restored from the back-up medium.
The alternative would be for all users to store
their own data on their own PC’s – a nightmare for
the system administrator responsible for backup!
We can also build a company intranet – this
is an internal ‘internet-style’ resource which can
be used by your employees to retrieve information
within the company – for example – product data
sheets, images, videos of products in action etc. can
all be available on the intranet, to all of your
employees.
You could also have a personnel system running
on the intranet including photographs and full details
of all of your employees.
Access to this can be restricted to certain
authenticated users if required.
